11 days of fun!

Please note the first day, your Arrival Day, only has an unofficial dinner and is an opportunity for you to settle in before events start the following day. Accommodation is still included this night.

10 nights accommodation

Accommodation begins on Arrival Day and concludes when you check-out the morning of Departure Day.

Any site, event or activity listed in the itinerary is included in the tour cost. No additional entrance fees will be required.

Many of the nights we share together will include private concerts with either local musicians or your tour leader (they have 1-2 shows).

All fees for any ferries that might be required.

Group Airport Transfer

We will provide 2 group airport shuttles on Departure Day. One will be early morning, and one late morning, depending on when passenger's flight times are.

Orientation Meeting

Zoom meeting with tour leader, company directors, and other passengers to ask questions and meet people before the tour!

Day 1

Arrival Day

From looking at this pretty wee town you wouldn't believe its close proximity to Edinburgh Airport. After arriving in Scotland take a quick train or taxi and settle in at South Queensferry, enjoying a stroll along the high street and taking in the remarkable Forth Road Bridges. 


In the evening, if you're feeling up to it we'll settle in together with a lovely welcome meal to get to know each other.

Linlithgow and Inchcolm

Linlithgow Palace: 

Linlithgow Palace is a magnificent ruin located in West Lothian, Scotland. Once a principal residence of Scottish monarchs, it was the birthplace of Mary, Queen of Scots. Although burned out in 1746, the palace remains an impressive sight, with its walls still standing strong. Visitors can explore the ruins, including the grand hall and the queen's chambers, and imagine the palace in its former glory.


South Queensferrry boat trip to Inchcolm 

Embark on a scenic boat trip from South Queensferry to the historic Inchcolm Island. Explore the stunning ruins of a 12th-century abbey, marvel at the island's rich history, and enjoy breathtaking views of the Firth of Forth. With opportunities for wildlife spotting and peaceful walks, this is a perfect day trip for history buffs, nature lovers, and those seeking a tranquil escape.

Heading North!

Kirriemuir. Gingerbread and ACDC

Kirriemuir: where sweet gingerbread meets the thunderous riffs of AC/DC. Explore the charming birthplace of J.M. Barrie and the legendary Bon Scott, a unique Scottish blend of sweetness and rock 'n' roll.


Lunch in Braemar


Balmoral Castle

Balmoral Castle is the Scottish holiday home to the Royal Family. The grounds are now open to the public on specific dates over the winter months- please check the website for opening days and times. Admission is currently free of charge.


Balmoral Castle has been the Scottish home of the Royal Family since it was purchased for Queen Victoria by Prince Albert in 1852, having been first leased in 1848.


Enjoy a relaxing visit to the grounds at Balmoral. After your tour you can visit the Mews Gift Shop, where you will find a wide range of gifts, both Scottish and Royal. You can also purchase hot and cold refreshments in the Mews Coffee Shop, where the menu celebrates a wonderful range of local and Scottish produce.


Ballater

The village of Ballater on the River Dee is a favourite with the British Royal Family. Settle in here for an overnight stay in the north.

Exploring Standing Stones

Burn O'Vat

After leaving Ballater we'll take a short drive to the woods of Burn O'Vat. From here we will have an opportunity to stretch our legs along a lovely river side walk: if you're feeling brave you can head through the rocks to see the remarkable pothole left as the great Glacier retreated.

Tarland Standing Stones

Just south of Tarland we will head towards the Tomnaverie Stone Circle. Dating from the Bronze Age the construction of this mystical place began in about 2500BC. With recumbent stones weighting up the 6.5-tonnes, take a moment here to breath in the miraculous nature of this place.


Back to Ballater and Live Music!

This afternoon, as we head back into Ballater we will brace ourselves for a lively late afternoon of music. Hearing from local musicians and your tour leader this will be a perfect start to a wonderful evening spent with new friends, music and food.

Huntly Castle

Upon arrival in Cullen take a moment to breath in the fresh sea air, before heading out to have the famous Cullen Skink (think fish chowder)

Today is a free day for you to enjoy and explore on your own. We have some recommendations in the area, for you to look into if you like. Or - you can treat the day as one of spontaneity!

Kinneff Old Church

Kinneff Old Church stands as a testament to courage and cunning in the face of adversity. In 1652, as Oliver Cromwell's forces swept across Scotland, this unassuming church became the unlikely guardian of the Scottish Crown Jewels. Discover how the Honours of Scotland – the crown, sceptre, and sword – were secretly smuggled out of Dunnottar Castle and entrusted to the church's minister and his wife. Explore the historic building and learn how their bravery ensured the survival of these national treasures


Dunnottar Castle

Dunnottar Castle, perched on a rocky cliff on Scotland's northeast coast near Stonehaven, is one of Scotland’s most iconic and atmospheric ruins. Surrounded by steep cliffs and the North Sea, this fortress offers dramatic views and a rich history dating back over 1,000 years. The castle was once a stronghold for the Scottish Crown and famously safeguarded the Scottish Crown Jewels from Oliver Cromwell's forces in the 17th century. St Andrews & Farewell!

St. Andrew's

Today we'll explore the wee, but very well-known, village of St. Andrew's. 

We'll take you on a lovely tour of the ancient streets, showing you the castle ruins, cathedral, the iconic golf course, and more! Enjoy some shopping and lunch in the village centre, where you'll be surprised to find modern and traditional clothing and amenities. 


This is sure to be a fun and relaxing day!


Head to Stirling for Farewell Concert

This farewell concert will be one for the books! We've partnered with Allanwater Brewhouse for our last meal - a catered BBQ (your final tour included group dinner) and concert with more fantastic local artists. 


Enjoy the award-winning lager, ale and cider brewed at this amazing brewhouse and get the last taste of your Scottish nights!
