I can't say enough good things about my trip with Scotland Folk Tours. Communications from the tour company was stellar before and during the trip. I had some personal complications, and everyone was very helpful, kind and accommodating. Both of our tour guides, Fiona and Penny, were quite wonderful. Their knowledge and pride of Scotland was amazing, and they both have the most positive, helpful spirit. I always felt very safe and comfortable on the bus. The daily excursions and tours were planned very well, with lots of stops for views, snacks and bathroom breaks. The hotels and included food were excellent. We heard music almost every night. It was a great experience and I would highly recommend Scotland Folk Tours (I actually already have)!

We really enjoyed our trip to Scotland. It is a beautiful lush green country, which means lots of rain. We had two fabulous guides, Fiona and Doug! They are both passionate about their country, which was evident in all the stories they told in a very humorous way. We stayed in reasonably nice (clean) places and enjoyed decent food. The fish and chips the best. We learned more about Scotch Whisky than I ever wanted to know. The best part of the trip was the music with Moors and McCumber. The worst part of the trip was the uncomfortable bus with impossible seat belts. Thank you Scotland for hosting us!!

This tour was a wonderful experience. The tour guides, Paul and Mairi, and my fellow travelers made this trip top notch. The accommodations were all great, especially the Kintail Lodge. The group meals were fantastic. I learned so much about Scotland’s history and culture, and I would highly recommend this tour.

We all agreed it would be hard to top this trip! Our 4 days in Edinburgh with Fiona were perfect! Especially my favorite day the hike to Arthur’s Seat. Fiona could immediately tell our skill levels and led us up and down while telling amazing stories of the history as only she can do. Her knowledge, sense of humor, temperment and skills were perfect for us. We were very sad to leave her. Then we met Ashley and she was just as wonderful & perfect. Her driving ability, confidence & courage were incredible. We loved her too. We stayed at beautiful accomodations and ate fabulous food, heard great music and met fabulous Scots. Drank fabulous whisky, heard fabulous music and stories and were very spoiled. Scotland Folk Tours does a wonderful job in every way and I would not hesitate to recommend or to take another of their tours. The quality of everything could not be surpassed. Thank you for providing such life experience exploring my MacLeod heritage I will never forget. 🫶🏼
